Artificial Grass - Installation and Care
Installing artificial grass in the garden
- First, the ground should be cleared of old grass and other plant residues
- Create a level and smooth base layer, ideally of very fine chippings or crushed sand
- Roll out the artificial turf and lay the individual strips next to each other
- If the strips are to be joined together, fold the edges over and apply adhesive tape to the underside of one strip of the grass carpet. Leave about half of the tape protruding so that you can then attach the adjacent artificial grass strip to it. The joints of the two strips must lie close together
- Now give your artificial grass a day's rest so that it can settle and the joints can bond well
Laying Artificial Grass for Homes, Events and Exhibitions
Whether for use on the balcony or as an event mat, the artificial grass can simply be rolled out and if necessary, taped in place to ensure a secure hold.
Optional: Before installing artificial grass, it is advised to lay a weed control membrane to prevent weeds or plants from growing under the grass. You will find weed control membrane in our selection of artificial grass products.Artificial Grass Care
Compared to natural grass, the care of artificial grass couldn't be any more straightforward - clear the grass of debris and rinse it down with a garden hose.
