The coconut coir mat measuring 100 × 1000 cm is made from 100% natural coconut fibre and provides a versatile solution for gardens, balconies and patios. The complete 10 m roll can be individually cut to size and is suitable for applications such as winter protection for plant pots, protection around tree trunks, an insulating underlay and covering garden beds and root areas.

With a thickness of approx. 10 mm, the needle-punched coir felt combines a robust construction with an open-fibre, breathable structure. Depending on the application, the natural material can be cut, wrapped, secured or laid flat.

The coconut coir mat is supplied as a complete roll measuring 100 cm wide and 1000 cm long, providing plenty of material for a variety of garden projects. Using a suitable cutting tool, the mat can be trimmed to the required size and used for several plant pots, tree trunks or garden bed areas.

100% Coconut Fibre – Natural & Breathable

The mat is made entirely from natural coconut fibre. Its characteristic open-fibre structure is breathable while remaining robust enough for both wrapping and laying flat. The natural brown colour blends harmoniously into gardens, patios and planted areas.

Winter Protection for Plant Pots, Trees & Root Areas

During the colder months, the coconut mat can be wrapped around plant pots and containers. When applied in several layers, it creates an additional insulating layer around the pot. Placed underneath plant containers, the mat also provides separation from cold surfaces such as stone, concrete or tiles.

Cut to the appropriate size, the coconut mat can also be wrapped around young tree trunks and secured with suitable fastening material. When laid flat, it is also suitable for covering garden beds and root areas.

Versatile Use as a Mulch Mat

The coconut coir mat is also useful beyond the colder months. Around shrubs, perennials and other plants, it can be used as a mulch mat. The covering can help reduce direct sunlight on the soil, slow down moisture evaporation and make it more difficult for unwanted vegetation to grow.
