View full detailsMole barriers or mole nets provide optimal protection for your lawn and prevent unsightly mounds created by moles. The mole netting can be placed directly on your grass to prevent moles from reaching the surface. Turf, or artificial grass, can then be laid over the top of the barriers so that it is no longer visible.
By preventing moles from surfacing, they are forced to continue digging and to look elsewhere for a new home.
When choosing a suitable net, two factors are particularly important. The first is the mesh size of the net and the second is the weight per square metre. A suitable mesh size is in the range of 7 to 10 mm. This is large enough to allow the lawn and plants to continue to grow, but stops the mole from being able to bite through the netting. The weight of the mesh also plays an important role, as it should not be possible for the mole to push the mesh away or move it. A good guideline here is 500 g/m².
