Wire Tensioner - Fence Adjuster

Available in three sizes, these fence tensioners are ideal for supporting a wide variety of fences with the help of a tension wire. Whether mesh fencing, deer fencing, pasture fencing or other wire garden fencing, the tensioners allow for effortless tensioning of support wires in various wire gauges to stabilise the mesh.

Without this handy support for the fence mesh, tension wires easily sag. Using the wire tensioner, you can ensure that your wire mesh fence is ideally supported. They are also ideal for re-tensioning, as each fence tensioner can be adjusted over time if necessary. Wire tensioners also make it easier to attach guy wires and cross wires that serve as climbing aids for hedges. The tensioners come in two colours, galvanised and green, so that they can be visually matched to your existing fence.

Fixing the wire tensioner

Assembly is quick and easy:

1. Attach this end of the fence tensioner to a post or stake at the end of your fence using baling wire.
2. Feed the tensioning wire through this hole.
3. Bring the support wire through this hole and tighten it by hand first.
4. Now use a spanner or pliers at this point to tighten the wire further. Remove the excess with wire cutters once the wire has gripped.
5. Continue to tighten the wire until it is firm. The wire will snap into place every 90 degrees.
